Welcome to Victoria's India Restaurant.

‘Victoria's India’ we understand, is a unique name for an Indian restaurant in the UK. The name was born from the architecture of the building. We have a beautiful 1865 Victorian villa that was built by the Rev Booth, the then congregational vicar for Longridge. The church opposite and the school behind in Chapel St are from the same period and have elements of the same, classic Victorian design.

As ‘The Manse’ is within the conservation area of Longridge, we had been asked by the local council and history society to retain the architectural features within the building. We readily agreed to the request, as we also wanted to keep the building substantially as it was. Also we did not want to follow the traditional format of an Indian restaurant, in either name or décor. At this point the name was defined by the nature and architecture of the building. ‘Victoria's India’ was thus born!
